May 17, 2016: Chris Gayle compared the team mates Virat Kohli – De Villiers of Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) as heroes like “Superman –Batman” after their astounding hit play in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The duo did play hard with 229 runs against the match with Gujarat Lions defeating by 115 runs and wins the partnership match against Kolkata Knight Riders defeating the team by 9 wickets held at Eden Gardens on Monday.
Gayle stated at the post-match conference, “these two guys have done a phenomenal job as compared to ‘Superman and Batman’ especially Kohli”. The two have swung the fortunes of RCB where Kohli have surpassed 733 runs in the previous best runs in a single season competition. Gayle also says that, he must congratulate Kohli to achieve close to 1000 runs in the IPL may be with two more games.
Kohli is doing a great job and a perfect cricketer who has achieved enormous success this year. Royal Challegers Bangalore(RCB) now has to win two games out of two in order to qualify for the ‘play offs’ and Gayle believes that if the team would make a cut in the remaining two games which is very much important for the team to be qualified.
Gayle also says that, The crowds in Eden have rooted to support RCB. The crowds love sixes and fours, and the crowds which is also an ultimate encouragement for the players when playing in far away makes them feel at home with the huge number of fans across wherever they travel.
