The recently launched Reliance Jio by Mukesh Ambani announcing exciting freebies such as free voice calls, free internet services and what not! With his announcement, customers queued up outside the Reliance stores for days and it almost became an achievement to buy a Jio sim.
But, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has just now revealed some surprising facts that came out after its analysis. TRAI’S MySpeed portal shows that much publicized Reliance Jip is the slowest 4G network in the country.
What statistics says ?
As per reports, Airtel is providing the fastest 4G download speed with 11.4 speeds while Reliance runs at 7.9Mbps followed by idea with 7.6 Mbps speed.
On the other hand, Vodafone is providing 7.3Mbps speed of 4G, Jio only provides 6.2 Mbps speed to its customers. If talking about its downloading speed, then it again remains slowest with 2.37 behind Idea, Vodafone, and Airtel. Idea remains the best network in uploading speed with 4.11Mbps.
Reliance denied TRAI’s facts
The average data speed for the entire country and data speed at various locations many vary depending on the network service provider. Reliance has denied the report of TRAI claiming Jio has the slowest 4G speed.
“With the reference to statistics published on TRAI’s analytics website, we have performed an internal analysis of the same.Based on this analysis; we believe that the comparison of Jio speed with other operators has a propaganda against Jio data usage,” the company statement said
The company also informed that the data speed was being measured after user consumes the daily fair usage policy limit of 4G data download. In such circumstances, the speed decreases to 256kbps leading to misleading results.
