For our instant demands, we’re now getting instant supplies. From fast food to now fast photos, nothing seems like an issue. Nothing seems like a tough job, with innovation at our hand. Talking of that, let’s review Fujifilm’s new Instant photo printer that somehow failed to impress us in its previous model.
The previous model, although was a new idea being put into practice, felt like the beta version of it. It wasn’t very fast and overall not very impressive. Now, two years later, Fujifilm has launched SP-2 and now let’s have a closer look at it.
Starting at $199, the instant printer doesn’t seem very expensive at first hand and much looks like a fair price. And if you really like to see your pictures, not just digitally, this might turn out to be an awesome product for you.
The prints no longer are slower which one major change in the new printer is. Now it takes about 10 seconds to print a photo. Otherwise, the prints have also improved quality wise. Also this time it comes with a new “split” feature. This new feature lets you print a single photograph across two prints.
The printer uses OLED technology and the resolution has been increased to 320 dpi, which account for the improved quality.
What we found still needs improvement is the Instax Share app. For instance, although the app offers a lot of different frames, to get to your favorite one, you need to change them one by one, using a single button. All in all, this seems like one good attempt by Fujifilm.
