Rock On 2 Collections Day one: One of the most awaited sequels of all times is finally here, however, it comes as a sore disappointment as it doesn’t stand up to the mark and the audiences are largely disappointed in the sequel. While the prequel was a super-hit, Rock On 2 doesn’t seem to be able to make it that far at all.
Rock On 2 Collections Day 1 – Movie Fails to fetch the expected amount
The songs from Rock On 2008 had everyone humming them especially the title track which is loved by the fandom even today. While the songs from its sequel seem to have no “Magik” in them.
The sequel to Chaar Sahibzaade 2014 is doing better than the Rock On sequel, both released on the same day.
The first-day box office collections of the movie were Rs 2.25 crores which is a shocking start for a sequel to a super-hit movie. It was expected to fetch at least Rs 5 crores, however, that has not happened.
Even though some of the movie theatres have introduced luring discounts and offers and despite PayTm encouraging the audiences to opt for payment through the app, a sharp fall in the audience turning up for the movie on day one has been witnessed.
While the demonetization has been one of the reasons for its bad performance at the box office, the bad reviews too have prevented the intended viewers to go for the movie.
