The Chinese smartphone maker Oppo as anticipated launched the Oppo A57 Smartphone on Tuesday and is finally making its way to Indian users. The Oppo A57 was first unveiled in China in the month of November last year for 1599 Yuan (approximately Rs 15,768). The smartphone will be available in gold and rose gold colour options.
In China, it is available in Rose Gold and Gold colour variants. The Oppo A57 is heavily inspired by Apple’s iPhone design in terms of form factor. The new oppo device is priced at Rs 14,990 and will be available in the country from February 3 in the offline stores as well as on online retailers such as Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal.

Design: The OPPO A57 features a metal unibody design with a capsule shaped home button on the front that also doubles as a fingerprint sensor.
Dimensions: The handset measures 149.1×72.9×7.65 mm and weighs around 147 grammes.

Display: The smartphone flaunts a 5.2-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS 2.5D curved glass display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection with Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
Processor and Software: Under the hood, the device runs a Snapdragon 435 (MSM8940) Octa-core chipset along with Adreno 505 GPU clocked at 1.4GHz paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with ColorOS 3.0 on top of it.
Camera: The OPPO A57 is targeted at the selfie enthusiasts as it features a 16-megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and a beautification mode, Beautify 4.0, which the company claims delivers better selfies even in low light. Along with a 16-megapixel front camera, the OPPO A57 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF laser focus.
Storage: There is also 32GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
Battery: The smartphone is armed with a 2,900mAh battery.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB, OTG support, 3.5mm audio jack, a microUSB port, Distance sensor, Light sensor, G-sensor, and E-compass.

At the given price and specifications, the OPPO A57 will be taking on popular under Rs 15,000 Android smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Motorola Moto G4 Plus.
