Alone Samajwadi party patriarch Mulayam Singh has postponed national convention called by him on January 5. Several reports indicating that a war between Akhilesh Yadav and Mulayam Singh over the symbol was the reason for postponing the event.
This was told by Mulayam’s brother and evicted state unit president Shivpal Yadav this morning. Shivpal tweeted that Thursday’s meeting has been canceled.
As per sources, Mulayam Singh Yadav realized after Sunday’s development that the proposed convention would result in another embarrassment for him because most of the party’s MLAs, MPs and senior leader have been openly stood up in a support of Akhilesh.
Mulayam Singh will discuss with election commission on the party’s symbol
On the other hand, Mulayam Singh is going to meet the election commission officials to discuss the issue of party symbol bicycle.
After seeing the strength of supporters of Akhilesh Yadav camp on the first day of 2017, Mulayam Singh found himself separated from his own party because many of his old loyalists like Kiranmoy Nanda, Revti Raman Singh, and Naresh Agarwal attended the national executive meeting called by Ram Gopal Yadav.
No effect was seen on rival camp of action taken by Singh
There is no effect on the rival camp seemed after expelling Ram Gopal Yadav once again and taking against Kiranmoy Nanda and Naresh Agarwal from the party. In fact, Akhilesh took to social media to justify his quick overtake of the party by saying that” sometimes to protect the ones you love you must make the right decision. What I did today was a tough decision but one that I had to take.”
