The Political slugfest over ban on Pakistani artists in India is not stopped yet. The matter is again surrounded with controversies after the Congress attacked MNS chief and the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Congress senior leader and MP Shashi Tharoor in his statement criticized both Chiefs and favored for inviting Pakistani artists, creative people, and businessmen to boost bilateral ties.

“We should welcome Pakistani creative people, artists, and genuine businessmen to India,” Tharoor said, during a debate in the Tata Literature Live Festival in Mumbai on Thursday night.

He further added, “We have to create a home away from home situation for them adding that hostility between two countries can be a mood but not policy”.

Shashi Tharoor also condemned CM Fadnavis for compromising with MNS on the controversy surrounding Karan Johar-directed “Ae Dil hai Mushkil” and said, certainly no Congress chief Minister would have ever negotiated.

MNS had opposed the release of ADHM  for casting Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the movie. Later they allowed a peaceful release of the movie on the condition that the producers would donate some share of the profit to Army welfare fund, but Amry refused to accept the money. Fadnavis later denied that he brokered the deal between MNS and the ADHM producers.

The debate was held on the topic that India and Pakistan can never be friends,” Sashi Tharoor argued that people-to-people cooperation would develop bilateral ties. Tharoor further said, “Create an umbrella where artists, the fashion designers, and genuine businesspersons would interact more frequently, form associations which would create a constituency of goodwill.
