Smriti Irani educational records: The Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani’s board exam’ outcomes will soon be made public. The Central Information Commission has ordered the Central Board of secondary Examination to permit to inspect Smriti’s 10th and 12th class records.
Despite refusing CBSE to disclose the cabinet minister’s academic records saying they are her personal information, CIC ordered CBSE to disclose Smriti’s educational records, said it can be disclosed in public.
Commission directed CBSE to facilitate inspection of Smriti’s educational records
Information Commissioner M Sridhar Acharulu, who permitted inspection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s academic records earlier, has ordered for the inspection of Irani’s results.
Media reports says, the CBSE has been ordered to help the commission in the inspection of relevant records and to provide her certified copy of documents within 60 days.
Commission has sought those educational documents of Holy Child Auxilium School of Cabinet Minister Smriti Irani from where she claimed to have passed out and also asked CBSE, Ajmer to provide the roll number and reference number of her where the records have placed for the years 1991 and 1993 to assist search from huge records which is yet to be digitized.

“The Commission directs the respondent authority, the CBSE, to facilitate inspection of relevant records and provide certified copies of documents selected by the appellant free of cost, except personal details in admit card and mark sheet, within 60 days from the date of receipt of this order,” Information Commissioner Sridhar Acharyulu said in his order.
Chief Information R K Mathur had divested Acharyulu of the charge of HRD ministry hardly a few days after he ordered inspection of B.A records of Delhi University pertaining to 1978, the year in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi passed out.
