South Korea Scandal: The South Korean President Park Geun-Hye has been in a deep crisis ever since her 40-year-old friend, Choi Soon Sil was suspected of trying to manipulate and influence her Presidential decisions. Choi has been arrested on allegations of being involved in money scandals and personal financial gains.

The reports also said that the 40-year-old was acting as President’s spiritual advisor. The President, Park Geun-Hye has recently apologised to the South Korean masses taking the blame for the scandal.
She has now said that she will personally initiate an investigation into her former friend’s actions. However, the opposition said that the President should be accompanied by the Prime Minister chosen by the Parliament’s approval.
The teary-eyed 64-year-old Park said “I feel a huge responsibility (for the scandal) deep in my heart” in a shaky voice, further adding, “It is all my fault and mistake”.
I deeply apologise to the nation for causing this disappointment and distress. I blame myself for everything…Sad thoughts trouble my sleep at night. I realize that whatever I do, it will be difficult to mend the hearts of the people, and then I feel a sense of shame and ask myself, ‘Is this the reason I became president?

“I believe we can conduct an investigation into Park. But as she is still the head of state, we should be prudent in the process”, said Kim Hyun-Woong, the justice minister.
