Super Talented Bollywood Actress Tannishtha Chatterjee, who was recently seen in the Ajay Devgn’s movie “Parched” along with Radhika Apte and Surveen Chawla in the lead. Leena Yadav was the Director of the movie. Tannishtha Chatterjee once again started the debate on the discrimination on the Bollywood industry on the basis of Colour of skin.
She is anyhow not new to this discrimination but she becomes the one to come out openly on the issue and she wrote a post on facebook as she was recently been targeted for her skin colour and caste in a comedy show. She claimed that the artists in the Colors Tv’s show “Comedy Nights Bachao targeted her for her dark skin colour and even for her caste more than once.
This post of her has triggered a new debate and controversy in media and industry. People on social media are apologising over this skin colour based mentality of Indians. People are also openly coming out in support of the actress and seeking the apology from the show artists who commented over her skin colour and caste.
Read this post of Tannishtha Chatterjee that she posted on facebook:
Many of the Bollywood celebrities also came out in support of Tannishtha as Director Hansal Mehta also shared one of the same kind of story and supported and hailed her for coming out in open to condemn this kind of mentality.
In 1994 one of my first short films was rejected by a TV channel not because the story was too dark but because the actors were too dark,

It is shameful for the industry and as a nation that people here still gives more concern about the skin colour of one’s and not his/her talent and we hail Tannishtha for coming heavily on the show and artists for their behaviour.
Way to go girl ! And Shame on Colors and Comedy Nights Bachao Actors for such a shameful act.
