In all probabilities, the calls will not be free like Intra Whatsapp calls. The calling rates will be surely less that the current tariffs, and it will be decided by Telecom Companies, after consulting with Central Government. The calls will be billed according to the data used.
Voice Over Internet Protocol is quite popular outside India. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has conveyed their full support to this new move.
Even though this move is quite beneficial for the people in India, poor internet service in the country may become a major hindrance.
