Woman raped in a car: Just after four years since the horrible 2012 Delhi gangrape, a girl was raped in a moving car in South Delhi’s Moti Bagh on Thursday late night, said report. The incident took place around 11 pm to 12 am Moti Bagh area when the driver molested the 20-years-old and raped her. It was and another stain on the National Capital’s image and has marked the question on women’s safety.
Girl was waiting for a bus to reach her destination
According to police reports, she went to her destination after searching for a job the whole day and was waiting for the bus at around 9 pm at last night near All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS). Then the Maruti car stopped by and the driver offered her to drop to Noida.
The 20-years-old girl hailing from Noida coped to run away somehow and reached the police, who were patrolling near the South campus area. The accused escaped from the spot after leaving the car. A case has been registered under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 357 and 376. Police have arrested the culprit from his friend’s residence.
Car was bearing a sticker of MHA
According to India Today, the girl was raped in a moving car bearing a Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) sticker. “The car is owned by a CISF head constable. The incident took place around 9 pm last night,” it said.
On the other hand, A NewsX report saying that the police have arrested the accused and seized the vehicle. Further investigation is on.
