Xiaomi did not only launch the Mi Note 2 at its Beijing event, they even launched a concept phone which has been dubbed as Xiaomi Mi Mix. It really looks like a phone from the future. It will not be wrong to call it the perfect culmination of design, hardware and software. The bezel less display on the front is really an eye candy. Enough of it, it is time to talk about Xiaomi Mi Mix specifications and features.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Specifications, Features, Design and Price
The phone comes with a huge IPS display measuring 6.4-inches. It has a resolution of 1080×2040 which gives us a pixel density of 362ppi.
The Mi MIX is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor clocking 2.35 GHz along with Adreno 530 GPU!
There is a 16 MP primary camera with Phase Detection Autofocus, dual tone LED flash and f/2.0. On the front there is a 5 MP selfie shooter.
It comes with two colossal storage options. 4 GB RAM with 128 GB ROM or 6 GB RAM with 256 GB ROM. There is no expansion card slot.
It runs on MIUI which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
All the connectivity tools are on board which includes Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C support.
It has key features including a fingerprint sensor and fast charging.
This huge phone has been matched with an equally humungous cell of 4400 mAh.
In this era, companies are running after top notch features and specifications and not giving enough attention to design. Xiaomi has stepped up the game by introducing this brand new (and impressive) design which houses all the high end specifications. Xiaomi innovatively used technology to overcome all the hurdles that came in their way while developing this phone.
After looking at the design, the phrase “dressed to kill” comes to mind. It features an edge-to-edge display with a very high resolution (2K). There will 18k gold inserts along with the camera and fingerprint sensor in the bigger storage variant. The careful merging of Xiaomi Mi Mix specifications and an innovative design make it hard phone to resist.
There are no bezels at all in the front. This gives us a very, very high screen to body ratio of 91.3%. The body is made from Ceramic.
Since there are no bezels at the front, how are you supposed to listen to a phone call? Well, the answer is ceramic. We will not get much technical about it but there is something called piezoelectric ceramic acoustic technology which makes use of ceramics to produce audio output without the need of speakers.
Price and availability
The 4 GB + 128 GB variant has been priced at CNY 3499 (approx INR 35,600) whereas the 6 GB + 256 GB variant will set you back by CNY 3999 (approx INR 39,500). It is currently on pre-order and will go on sale on November 4 in China.
