Zika Virus: Four New Zika Virus Cases Came From Fla. Mosquitoes:- According to the latest prediction, four people infected with Zika virus has been found infected through the local mosquitoes. It’s the first time that the disease has been transmitted by the insects in the Florida. Till now, no place have been tested positive for Zika, except north of downtown Miami. The mosquitoes that transmitted the virus are active in small area, north of downtown Miami. According to the Thomas Frieden, who is the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the four Zika patients work in the same area, where the virus has been detected.

The Zika virus which can cause devastating birth defects is spreading in more than 30 countries and territories in the Caribbean and Latin America. About 1,650 people in the U.S. have contracted Zika, but they are travelled to areas outside the U.S. Out of five patients, one has been detected with severe symptoms including rash, fever, muscle aches and headaches.

The virus generally spreads through from infected mosquitoes, and can also be through sex. The four cases that has been detected for Zika virus involves a woman of South Florida and three men of Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

To get rid of these harmful mosquitoes, one must remove old tires from their yards, eliminate any standing water around their houses, said by the Florida Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services Adam H. Putnam. Taking blood donations have been stopped and are tested first for the virus, according to the Food and Drug Administration in all the blood centers of Miami-Dade, Broward and near by areas. The CDC will continue to investigate and respond to Zika cases and will check the situation and its recommendations on daily basis.
