Guru Nanak Jayanti November 14, 2016: The auspicious occasion of Gurupurab is celebrated with great zeal in India, especially in the Northern region of the country. The Gurudwaras all over India are decorated on this day and Nagar Kirtan is held.
Every full moon day (Poornima) in the month of Kartik, is celebrated as Guru Nanak Jayanti or the Prakash Utsav every year. It marks the birth anniversary (Guru Nanak Jayanti) of the first Guru of Sikhs, Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Apart from this, PM Narendra Modi has also let out a message to the people of India saying that now the next target after the demonetization would be ceasing “benami properties”. He said that he will be soon initiating action against the illegally captured property.
