Observing the day as ‘International Yoga Day’, today the people from different parts of the country celebrates the International Yoga Day by practising and demonstrating the yoga session.
Thousands of people gathered the venue in order to mark “International Yoga Day” which is being observed for the second year across the country and almost 139 countries have registered to participate in the celebrations at UN on June 21. Last year UN has declared June 21 as International Yoga day.
It is learned that in order to mark the International Yoga Day, people who have been shortlisted to perform the yoga session along with the Prime Minister started lining up at the complex venue today on Tuesday around 4:00 AM. People from various age group be it, adults, youths and children throng into the venue to mark the day especially to participate the yoga exercises along with the PM Narendra Modi, said the sources.
PM Narendra Modi participates in the International Yoga Day celebration held at Capitol Complex in Chandigarh, Punjab. There were a number of people gathered during the international yoga day celebration at the venue.
During the session, PM Modi addresses the mass gathering where he urged the people to grab the yoga as part of the life and also said that yoga is not a religious practice. He also said that yoga helped people keep the mind in control and it helps in maintaining balance to keep healthy and to control minds. Further, PM also addresses to the people that yoga helps in maintaining to lead a disciplined life.
International Yoga Day is being observed in India and across the world. Many other ministers, government officials and other dignitaries took part and celebrate International Yoga Day that has been organised in the various other places.
