As the match between Hungary vs. Iceland draws at 1-1, the spectators started fireworks causing 65,000 euros (£50,000) fine for Hungarian Football Federation. UEFA fined Hungary over the behavior of their supporters at Euro 2016.
Hungary was playing against Iceland this Saturday, which also witnessed crowd mismanagement, setting off firecrackers and throwing of objects at the field.
Top Group F Team Hungary will face Portugal upcoming Wednesday for their final group game.
Previously, UEFA has also fined Croatia 100,000 euros (£77,000) and Russia 150,000 euros (£115,000) over crowd turbulence at their match in France.
Till date, UEFA has fined eight countries which are a third of the teams playing Euro Cup due to crowd troubles. Countries fined by UEFA includes Albania, Belgium, Romania, Portugal and Turkey. This action was taken under disciplinary issues.
Even the match between Croatia and Czech Republic was stopped on Friday when spectators threw flares onto the pitch. Apart from the fine, the Croatia Football Federation has also been forbidden from selling match tickets to supporters branded as “hooligans”.
Team Russia has to face a suspended disqualification when the mob got violent at their opening game against England on 11th of June. Russia was also eliminated from Euro 2016 after losing a match against Wales by 3-0 on Monday for Group B series.
