India vs England 5th Test Day 1: India, who is leading with a 3-0 in the 5 matches series against England, are clearly looking for a whitewash. Also, this will give Indians a much neede boost ahead of the upcoming ODI series and lower down the England’confidence vica-versa. With this intention, India started with a strong attack on England on Day 1 of Chennai Test and get some early wickets too.
But Joe Root and Moeen Ali’s partnership helped the guests to put a respectable total for the Day 1 game. However, Joe Root lost his wicket in the third session but Moeen Ali is looking rock solid on the crease and has scored the century. England scored 284 at the loss of 4 wickets. Moeen Ali(120*) and Ben Stokes(5*) are still on the crease.
Indian pacers tried to get some wickets but failed except Ishant Shamra, who on his comeback striked Jennings really early. Then other three wicktets were struck by Ravinder Jadeja. Howver, Ashwin and Amit Mishra failed to get any wickets. Also Virat Kohli didn’t used Mishra well and given him bowling at the end of the day game.

Ishant Sharma has really shown some impressive game on his come back and bowled the right lines throughout and didn’t spend much of the runs also. In the third session, Mishra was give the bowling charge and Moeen Ali completely utilised his nervousness and that is the reason that he couldn’t let MIshra to stable his line and length and also proved really expensive.
