Helpline for digital payment queries: NITI Aayog in collaboration with the Nasscom and telecom operators has released a helpline number which can be dialled up by the citizens for any query regarding the digital payments. The helpline number will be made operational shortly.
To boost the digital transactions for building a cashless society, the Committee headed by Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu has decided to import one million PoS machines.

“We are planning a sustainable, long-term, policy to attract majority in India to move to digital payments through providing incentives”, Chandrababu Naidu said.
“Our focus is on providing more incentives for making digital payments a mass movement…things are moving very positively in a digital economy for India.”

The BJP government is opting for all means to push the economy towards the cashless economy. With the coming of demonetisation, the masses have been forced to opt for digital transactions as there has been a dearth of legitimate cash in the country.

NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Arvind Panagariya said that NASSCOM, the telecom operators and the government has collaborated to release the helpline that will help the masses to clear their doubts regarding the digital payments and it will help the economy push the country towards the e-transaction platforms.
