Donald Trump orders: US President-elect Donald Trump has recently asked the political appointee ambassadors of Barack Obama to step down their posts before January 20, the day on which Trump will be swearing in as the President of the US.
Donald Trump orders Obama’s political ambassadors to resign before Jan 20
As per the standard practice, the political appointees of the previous administration have to submit their resignation at the end of their term and till date, no hostility and discord have been observed while the carrying out of this practice. However, this time around the US President-elect Donald Trump has furiously asked them to submit their resignation before he takes over the President’s office.
There is usually a grace period provided to the ambassadors who need to stay back for unavoidable circumstances such as for the completion of courses/school year of their kids. But Trump’s transition team is adopting a ‘no mercy’ policy in this regard as no grace period will be provided to the present date, political ambassadors.

The hassled political ambassadors will now have to find new homes and will also have to get their visa status changed. While many of these officials will have to stay back to let their kids finish their ongoing academic courses, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are themselves staying at Washington DC as they let their daughters complete school.
