Three women molested in Bengaluru: After the shocking incident of mass molestation on New Years’ eve in Bangalore, yet another incident of harassment has come to light from the city. Three women at the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association were allegedly misbehaved by the three men. They forced them to make pose for selfies on New Years’s eve. A case has been registered against the three people and one person has been arrested after accessing CCTV footage.

One among three women who were molested is the wife of an assistant commissioner of the commercial tax department. A woman’s husband got angry with the association staff as well as the security for not protecting them and letting the accused flee the spot. The KSLTA management team sent him an apology letter through e-mail.

The group of during man partying inside the premises approached women and two others demanded to take selfies with them. That time, the husband of the woman had gone to bring the food from food counter.
Seeing that the women were along, the men misbehaved with them. The group of three also had threatened women when they refused to pose for selfies. Her brother and husband tried to catch the mains accused but his friends assist him to escape.

“The staff and security at the KSLTA club house did nothing to help us catch the accused or protect us from them, while they charged at us. Instead, they allowed the men to go out of the club premises. The trouble-makers were neither members nor guests. Of the 15, the police have arrested one person and we have identified him at the police station,” the assistant commissioner told Bangalore Mirror.
The arrested person has been recognised as Shivaraj who works as a driver for one of the suppliers of KSLTA. A policeman said that a case under IPC section 149, 509 and 510 has been registered.
The joint secretary at KSLTA, PR Ramaswamy said, “After the incident came to our notice, we immediately checked the CCTV footage and the member’s wife also viewed the footage and identified one of the accused. He works as the driver to one of our suppliers. The same footage was handed over to the police.”
