PV Sindhu Get Amazing Welcome in Hyderabad:- The India’s Olympic silver medallist, PV Sindhu was given a grand welcome today in the city as she returned home from a great victory. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has made special and large-scale arrangements to welcome the talented PV Sindhu who became the first woman to win an Olympic silver medal for India. The Sindhu made a history and had become India’s first ever silver medallist in badminton.
On her arrival back to home, she was amazingly greeted by her parents – PV Ramana and P Vijaya as well as by Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, and some ministers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The 21 year old PV Sindhu with her coach Pullela Gopichand arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on Monday morning. Both of them were given a warm and grand welcome. A special programme to felicitate Sindhu will held at Gachibowli Stadium for her terrific victory.
At a press conference in Gopichand Badminton Academy, the talented Sindhu said that she is really happy that her dream has come true. The Sindhu said at the Gachibowli stadium, “I want to thank my coach Gopichand, it’s only because of him that I am here, I also want to thank my parents and the KCR government for their support. I did not expect so many people will be here to welcome me, I thank you all”.
The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday announced the cash prize of Rs. 5 crore for Sindhu. The Sindhu is offered a government job in Secunderabad, the twin city of Hyderabad as well as 1,000 square yard house site in Hyderabad. The Sindhu’s coach, Pullela Gopichand has also been awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1 crore.
