Seventh Day of Navratri: Goddess Kalaratri is the seventh form of Goddess Durga who is worshipped on the seventh day of Navratri. She is also known by many of the destructive forms of Maa like Bhadrakali, Bhairavi, Chamunda, Chandi, Durga, Kali, Mahakali, Mrityu, and Rudrani. She is often considered as the fiercest form of Navdurga.
The seventh day of Navratri is dedicated to Maa Kalaratri. She destroyers all the negative energies, ghosts, spirits and demon entities. They are said to flee when the Goddess arrives. She is said to be the one who was there when Goddess Parvati removed her outer golden skin to destroy the demons Shumbha and Nishumbha. The planet Shani is governed by Goddess Kalaratri.

The seventh day of Navratri is the day that is meant to worship Goddess Kalaratri. Her devotees are blessed with knowledge, power and wealth. She has a dark black complexion and rides a donkey. Her avatar is shown with four hands. In her left hands, she holds a sword and the deadly iron hook. Her right hands are in the Abhaya and Varada Mudras.

Goddess Kalaratri is one among the Navdurga and she is said to make her followers fearless. Her devotees are blessed with wonderful results. She is also referred to as Shubankari (शुभंकरी) that means auspicious/doing good in the Sanskrit language. Her favourite flower is the Night blooming jasmine.
It is believed to be auspicious to wear white colour clothes on the seventh day of Navratri that is dedicated to Goddess Kalaratri. Wearing white coloured clothes gives one sense of peace and purity.
