Thai King Death: Late Bhumibol Adulyadej, The King of Thailand took his last breath on Thursday evening after completing seven-decade-long journey as a King. The masses grieved the death of their beloved King as processions came rushing outside the hospital where he had breathed his last.

The government declared a public holiday and the people were seen wearing black clothes as they bid adieu to the most revered leader of the nation. While, some of the people were still in shock, yet others couldn’t control their tears as the news of the Thai King’s death came out.
The entire nation’s operations came to a halt as the shops, malls, tourist places were shut down. The people had been asked to stop all the joyful events as the country mourned the death of its respected monarch.
The flags will be at half-mast for next 30 days.
The Prime Minister of Thailand, Prayuth Chan-Ocha said, “The stock market, investments, other businesses should not stop. Do not try to let the country lose its credibility, especially in the case of impact on the stock exchange.”
He added that Bhumibol’s son, Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn will soon be crowned as the King of Thailand. While the Prince has asked for more time as the entire nation is still in shock and he too doesn’t want to succeed the throne immediately. As of now, no official date for the coronation ceremony has been announced.
Of late, the late King had been staying unwell and suffered from many ailments. He had also been hospitalised earlier.
The masses said that it was an irreparable loss for Thailand and His Majesty will remain in the hearts of its people forever. The people of Thailand believe that all that the King did for the betterment of Thailand had a significant impact and improved their lives.
