Another horrifying attack has created the situation of fear in the National Capital Region. Just after a month of the horrifying incident in which a 21-years old girl was stabbed 30 times in broad daylight, another woman stabbed in Gurgaon, who lately died. The woman named as Pinki Devi was stabbed multiple times by a man at the MG Road Metro station in Gurgaon on Monday morning.
Thirty-four-year-old Pinki Devi, who was basically from the Meghalaya, was attacked from behind by a man named as Jitender. Jitender is a 26-year-old auto-rickshaw driver, he stabbed the woman as she was entering the station at around 9:30 am.
However, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) staff immediately nabbed Jitender and handed him over to Gurgaon Police. The CISF soldiers immediately taken the woman to a nearby private hospital. Then she was then referred to the Gurgaon Civil hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Pinki Devi had been critically wounded in her stomach and throat and was also hurt on her wrists.
Maan Singh, the husband of Pinki Devi, has said that Jitender has been harassing his wife for some time when she travelled to-and-fro from the MG Metro station. Pinki Devi, the victim in the incident, used to work at a beauty parlour in Rohini.
In fact, Singh was on the phone with his wife, who was telling him that Jitender was bothering her again when she was attacked. “As I was talking to her on phone, there was a loud noise and the call was disconnected. No one picked up after that. About half an hour ago, someone picked up the call and informed me about the incident,” Singh told Hindustan Times.
Jitender, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, was also admitted to the civil hospital. According to the eye-witnesses, the accused was apparently waiting near a store at the metro station when he pulled out a knife and attacked her in front of other commuters.
