After a failed attempt, It is now confirmed that Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party is now in an affair with the Indian National congress. The credit for the Congress clinching the deal done with the SP goes to the none other than Priyanka Gandhi. It is now talking point in the political streets that Priyanka Gandhi comes forward after the day before yesterday Naresh Yadav confirmed that the attempt with Congress failed as the party demanded more seats.

After a failed attempt, It is now confirmed that Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party is now in an affair with the Indian National congress.

However, now the deal is done with Samajwadi Party contesting on 298 and Congress will contest on 105 seats. Earlier the SP was not ready to give Congress more than 100 seats but Congress was looking for 127 seats. After which, Akhilesh denied the demand and the alliance looked very unlikely.

What happened then after a failed SP-Congress Alliance and did Congress deserved to be given 105 seats?

But then Priyanka Gandhi steps in and get the deal done on 105. This will give a major boost to both the parties in upcoming elections, especially to SP. But there’s another question that rises with that. In 2012, SP won 224 seats and Congress succeeded only on 28 out 0f total 403. If we look even according to the seats winning percentage with what they contested on, then SP contested on 405 seats and won 224 which makes it over 55% of seats won than contested.

After a failed attempt, It is now confirmed that Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party is now in an affair with the Indian National congress.

On the other side, Congress contested on 355 and won just 28 which makes the winning percentage barely 7.88%. So Do they deserved to be given 105 seats. Didn’t Akhilesh made a mistake by giving a larger margin i.e. more than 25% to congress? And Didn’t this will cause a dent to Akhilesh’s image of being a strong leader?

Does this also show the desperation and lack of confidence of Akhilesh Yadav?

Also, this shows the lack of confidence and desperation Akhilesh actually carries. Does Akhilesh also knows that there’s a strong competition for him this time! And that caused him to seal the deal with a demand that could prove out to be a gamble because it is not going to be easy for UP voters to accept Congress in the state, even if the Akhilesh Yadav’s face would be with them.

After a failed attempt, It is now confirmed that Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party is now in an affair with the Indian National congress.

But if thought to be insightful, then it could also help SP uniting the anti-BJP voters but also, there’s another side of the coin. This could also help out to the voters confused with BJP as an option and were anti congress, then it also will unite them as well.

So, only March 11 can decide, whom it helped whom it caused harm and what is actually in the mind of the silent voter of the state. Stay tuned with us for an insightful analysis of the elections in the five states including Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.
