It has not even been two months since the iPhone 7 was launched and the internet has already been flooded with numerous reports of rumours and claimed leaks of the next iPhone which has dubbed as iPhone 8. According to the latest rumour, Apple will launch the iPhone 8 in three sizes. These will be 4.7-inches, 5-inches and 5.5-inches.
There is a reason why so many people are excited for the iPhone 8. 2017 marks the tenth anniversary of the iPhone series. Hell, even I am excited! This is why the whole world is hoping for something big from Apple next year.
Apple has always been lashed out at for not doing a lot about the design of the iPhone. This is one particular change that is most likely to happen with the iPhone 8. Even Apple’s chief design officer had himself said that he wanted the iPhone to look like a piece of glass. This directly hints at the desire to make a bezel-less iPhone 8, much like the recently launched Xiaomi Mi Mix. The Mi Mix does have a lower portion which might not be there in the iPhone 8.
What about the iPhone 8 in three sizes?
Anyways, coming back to our topic, Apple will launch iPhone 8 in three sizes. This was reported by a Japanese news website. They cited a source in the supply chain and gave out the following information. All the three variants of iPhone 8 will come with Glass back and front.
The website also said that the premium variant (5.5-inches, iPhone 8 Plus) will also come with a curved edge-to-edge AMOLED display built by Samsung. The smaller variants will stick to the IPS LCD panel.
A Chinese company, Biel Crystal Manufactory and Lens Technology, will be developing the glass front and back for the iPhone 8.

However, we think that this rumour is rather absurd. There is no point in launching a 5-inch phone when 4.7-inch is already there. The difference is very marginal and will not be beneficial to Apple at all. Similar rumours appeared before the launch of iPhone 7 too but as we all know, that did not happen.
The website which first gave out this news itself claims that the iPhone 8 is currently in the developing stage and the plan for a 5” iPhone 8 could be dropped as well.
In a nutshell, we would like to say that all the iPhone 8 news are mere speculations at this point of time and hence should be taken with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned as we will be doing a little more digging on the iPhone 8 and keep you posted.
