Recently, Arvind Kejriwal had questioned the Union Minister about the source of funds used up in the wedding in Mahesh Sharma’s family. Kejriwal had tweeted on Monday, “BJP MP Mahesh Sharma’s daughter is getting married. Is the entire payment in cheque? Has he kept the wedding spending within 2.5 lakh rupees? How did he exchange his notes?”
Mahesh Sharma was quick to reply to Delhi CM’s question and that too in a blunt tone, he said, “First get your facts correct. It is my son’s wedding. Yes, the entire payment is being made through the bank.”
Ever since demonetisation has been introduced in the country by the Modi government, the opposition has been ,making the most out of the masses’ rage for the hassle that it created. Amongst the most vocal critics has been the Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal.
Earlier, the grand wedding of Brahmani Reddy, daughter of Mining baron and the BJP politician Gali Janardhan Reddy had raised many eyebrows. After the registration of a complaint against the minister, his mining companies and house were raided by the Income Tax department.
