BSF Jawan Tej Bahadur: BSF has cancelled the voluntary retirement plea of Constable Tej Bahadur Yadav who had earlier posted a video on facebook revealing the shocking truth behind the diet that the BSF soldiers get. He had made many other revelations such as the corruption in the Army as he claimed that it was the senior officials who sell off the food material meant to reach them.
Last year, after making the revelation, Tej Bahadur had submitted a plea for early retirement which was accepted by the Army and he was allowed to retire on January 31. However, considering the impending investigation into the matter raised by him, his retirement has been cancelled. An investigation was initiated by Home Ministry to confirm if the claims made by the BSF jawan were true.

“His voluntary retirement has been cancelled pending the court of inquiry and finalisation of its recommendations. Cancellation of VRS was communicated to Tej Bahadur on January 30”, a BSF official said.
Tej Bahadur’s wife said that the family was waiting for his arrival on January 31. They were not aware that his VRS had been cancelled. She said that after the cancellation of the VRS, he was arrested. Further, she told that he called up from someone else’s phone to tell that he was being tortured mentally and threatened by the officials.
The BSF has stated – “Yadav was not under arrest and his voluntary retirement has been cancelled pending the COI (Court of Inquiry) and finalisation of its recommendations.”
