Nanjunda SOS security feature: E-commerce giant Flipkart has recently launched an SOS option for its delivery staff in its mobile app. Its field staff would be able to inform the Flipkart office regarding any major safety threat or medical urgency while they are out for the delivery of the products.

“To ensure greater safety for field executives, popularly known as Wishmasters, Flipkart has unveiled Project Nanjunda, a unique SOS button in the Field Executive’s Mobile App”, Flipkart said in a statement.
The Nanjunda button brings enhanced safety measures for the field staff that would enable the executives to raise an alarm in case they face a safety threat or any other kind of danger. Of late, there have been many cases where the field executives of the e-commerce giants have been harmed and attacked by the customers ho had ordered the products without the intent of paying for it.
“Flipkart Wishmasters form the backbone of our business, delivering wishes daily to millions of customers across India. Ensuring their safety is a primary priority for us. Over the days following the demise of Wishmaster Nanjunda Swamy, our teams have worked relentlessly to deliver this feature in less than a month – in order to ensure our field staff is secure while on their delivery trips”, Nitin Seth, Flipkart Chief operating Officer said in a statement.
If the field executive feels threatened, he will click the button and it will send SMS and E-mail notifications that will alert the nearest hub-in-charge and the other field executives who are nearby.
