General Mobile, the Turkish mobiles manufacturer has launched a new Android One Smartphone with Android 7.0 Nougat. General Mobile GM5 Smartphone is one among the latest and in the range of five plus Android One Smartphone launched by the Turkish manufacturing company. The smartphone is available in Golden, Space Gray, and Black colour options.
Specifications of the General Mobile GM5
However, General Mobile has confirmed that the Smartphone will go on sale this month itself. Also, the price of the Smartphone has not been out yet. Before it gets available, the company has listed the Smartphone’s detailed specifications on its site.
Design and Looks of the GM5 Smartphone:
The General Mobile GM5 sports metal edges, and a textured back design. The camera sits in the centre, and the volume and power buttons are housed on the right. There are dual speakers on each side of the USB port at the bottom, and the 3.5mm audio jack is housed on the top edge.
Display: The General Mobile GM5 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
Processor: It is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset paired with 2GB RAM.
Storage: The Smartphone offers 16GB of inbuilt storage as well.
Camera: On the camera front, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, auto-focus, and 4x digital zoom. The General Mobile GM5 bears a 5-megapixel camera for selfies.
Battery: The Smartphone offers the Battery of 2500 mAh.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, FM Radio, and Wi-Fi Direct. The General Mobile GM5 measures at140.5×69.75×9.3mm, and weighs 160 grammes.

General Mobile has mentioned that the Smartphone will only be available in 20 markets ie. Azerbaijan, Albania, Afghanistan, Belgium, Bosnia, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Ghana, Greece, Iraq, Kenya, Luxembourg, Moldova, Netherlands, Pakistan, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Also, the company mentions that the device will support all the countries’ local languages.
Last year in May, Google’s Android One initiative reached Turkey with the General Mobile 4G smartphone. Furthering Google’s efforts to bring stock Android and modern connectivity to the masses, the General Mobile GM5 smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
