Finally, Karan Johar has vented out his feelings about the criticism he received for the Rafi remark in his movie ADHM, and no, he hasn’t apologised. The leading director of Bollywood seems to have had enough of the slamming and has become more vocal about his opinion.
Karan Johar reacts to the negative comments
Karan Johar recently took to twitter after Shahid Rafi demanded an apology from the director for including an insensitive remark about his father. In the movie there a sequence in which Ayan(Ranbir Kapoor) tells Alizeh(Anushka Sharma) that he have told him that he sounds quite like the legendary singer Mohammad Rafi. To this Alizeh replies, “Mohammad Rafi? Wo Gaatey Kamm, aur rotey zyada they na?”
Recently, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the 3 Idiots director was asked to comment on it and he replied, “I don’t watch Hindi films. The name of the film that you took I haven’t seen it and I don’t intend to watch it. I have no interest.”
Sonu Nigam had remarked earlier, “If you can listen to the same joke about your parents then we are wrong.”

Karan Johar is again being widely criticised for being indifferent to the sentiments of Shahid Rafi and the Rafi fandom. While an apology was being sought, the director has brushed away all the negative comments showing no intention to express regret over the Rafi remark.
