Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot: 14 April 2016, the 6th IPL match have favoured upon Gujarat with the easy win chasing the target of 164 runs against Rising Pune SuperGiants.
The man of the match is awarded to Aaron Finch for his 50 runs in 36 ball; with his great gaming strategies and leading the team to win the match.
In the first innings, Team Gujarat loses the toss and elected to field and Pune to bat first. Rahane and du Plessis come on the crease and the first few over was raising the runs very quickly. Until then on the 3rd over Rahane was lbw out. Then enters Pietersen and the match was under control for 10 overs and scored beyond 100 Runs. On the 13th over Pietersen was bowled out balled by Bravo. Then enters Smith, du Plessis then no longer can hold the strike and stumpped out on the 15th over. Enters MS Dhoni, in the meantime smith , as caougt out on Jadeja ball followed by Mitchell Marsh. Later Bhaitia and Dhoni holds the strike and scored 163 runs for Gujarat to chase.
In the second innings, now Gujarat Lions on strike and enters Finch and Brendon McCullum. Both the batsmen were at their form and had a wonderful play scoring beyond 80 Runs in 8 overs. Then Finch was caught out ob Ashwin ball, enters Raina. As in few more overs Brendon McCullum was caught out and enters Bravo. Now both Raina and Bravo maintain to rise the runs and chased for the target. But Raina on Ashwin ball was Stump out and enters Jadeja. Dwanye Bravo with a six and a extra on RP singh ball have given the Victory to Team Gujarat Lions.
Gujarat Lions wins by 7 wickets.
