Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot 24 April: The 19th match of the IPL season 9 is won by the Team Gujarat Lions and won the match by 6 wickets. It was a very tough match to chase 180 runs but the team works and hard work have resulted in winning the match.
While even though RCB lose the match; with the great performance, Virat Kohli is awarded as the Man of the match who had scored 100 runs at just 63 balls. Earlier in the match, RCB won the toss and elected to bat first.
In the first innings, Royal challengers Bangalore is on the crease and enters Kohli and Watson. The bowlers of Gujarat are too quick for taking wicket and Watson is out on Dhawal Kulkarni ball. Now enters de Villiers and RCB is back to hit some boundary but on 7th over balled by Tambe, de Villiers is caught out. Now enters Rahul, Kohli is in action and by the end of 13th over Kohli has his half century and led the team to score 100 runs. Both the batsmen continues to make good runs and very soon by the end of 17th over Rahul too made his 50 runs. And finally in the last over balled by Bravo, Virat Kohli have hit the audience by making the full century at the last ball which is the first 100 runs in the IPL match of his career. Team Royal Challengers Bangalore have made the total score and set the target of 180 runs in just 2 wickets.
In the second innings, enters Dwayne Smith and Brendon McCullum on the crease. Both the batsmen had a good start until on the 5th over balled by Kane Richardson, Dwayne Smith is caught out enters, Suresh Raina. And also, Brendon McCullum is caught out balled by Tabraiz Shamsi on the 8th over. Enters D Karthik and the team scores 100 runs by the end of 10th over. And on the 15th over Balled by Chahal Raina was caught out and enters Ravichandra Jadeja. The team approach to winning score and finally on 19th over Watson ball, Jadeja was caught out but the Bravo enters and led the team to win by a four. Gujarat Lions win the 19th IPL match 2016 by 6 wickets.
