Gujarat local body election results: After winning Maharashtra Nagar council elections, BJP once again has made a clean sweep in municipal elections in Gujarat. While Vapi municipal polls in the state, out of 44 seats the party won 41, whereas the Congress won 4. The results are a great push to BJP ahead of assembly election next year and it shows that Public is satisfied the government in the state as well as Centre.

Gujarat by Poll Election Results – BJP beats Congress Everywhere in Gujarat
In the Kanakpur-kansad municipal polls in Surat, out of 28seats, the BJP won 27, while Congress had to be satisfied with one. In the Taluka panchayat and municipal by polls, BJP grabbed 23seats while the congress won 8 seats.
The results have shown that BJP has not lost popularity at least as far as Gujarat is concerned. And, also shows great support to PM Modi’s Demonetisation move.
On the other hand, these results have given a message to Congress for doing hard work if they want to win the next assembly polls.

Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani took tweet on twitter and Congratulate the party for the victory in Gujarat municipal polls and also thanked people of Gujarat for their great support for BJP. HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar also said that results of local body polls in Gujarat and Maharashtra have shown that people of the country are supporting the government on the demonetization issue.
