As the tagline goes, “DOST Se Zyada, GIRLFRIEND Se Kam”; the film can be expected to focus on the newfangled relationships where the couple shares a bond that is more than just being friends and less than girlfriend-boyfriend wala LOVE. The makers of the film took to twitter to share the Half Girlfriend Motion Poster on social media.

The first look of the film shows the main leads; Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. The motion poster features the couple standing back to back & smiling in the rain while holding hands.
The story of the film has been adapted by Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name. The film is a musical romance drama of Madhav Jha (Arjun Kapoor), a small town boy who falls in love with Riya Somani (Shraddha Kapoor), a Delhi girl. The film is expected to show how the couple’s relationships change from just friends to falling in love.
Talking about the film, Mohit Suri said, “A love that may be somewhere in between, but a love that is unconditional — it’s a take on this unexplored aspect of relationships.”
Arjun and Shraddha will be for the first time sharing screen space with other. Director Mohit Suri and producer Ekta Kapoor have also collaborated for the second time with this movie after the success of ‘Ek Villain’.
The film is slated to release on 19th May 2017.
