Huawei is all set to increase its market share and they are planning to do so with the Honor 8 launch in India. The company is planning to announce the Honor 8 on October 12. Even though there is no official word on the price, a retailer has leaked it.
Mahesh Telecom in a tweet said that the Honor 8 would be priced at Rs.29,999. The tweet also mentions a new name, Honor 8 Smart and declares its price at Rs.19,999. Though not much is known about the Smart variant, we do believe that it is probably a laid back version of the flagship device with a cheaper processor, lower RAM and an ordinary camera. But we do know quite a lot about the Honor 8 owing to the fact that it was launched in China back in July. The phone was an instant hit and was sold like hot cake. The Honor 8 is the cheaper version of the Huawei’s previous year’s flagship device, the P9. It borrows all the specifications from the P9 except the camera. The camera on the P9 was developed with Leica. Apart from that, the P9 featured a slightly faster Kirin 955 processor.

The phone comes with 4 GB of RAM along with 2 storage space options – 32/64 GB. This storage could be further pumped up to 256 GB with the help of SD card.

It is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

To facilitate communication, the Honor 8 comes loaded with Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS and a USB Type-C.

Just like every other smartphone being launched recently, it comes with Fingerprint Scanner and fast charging.
- Battery
It has a 3000 mAh non-removable lithium polymer battery.
