Also, this is the reason that when PM Modi desires to initiate any project, Kant immediately starts working on it and within days, he prepares the draft and model of the scheme to present it to PM
Make in India and Start Up India is the most conversed projects of the country which have been launched by Prime Minister. With the scheme of Make in India, PM Modi obliged world’s ventures to manufacture in the country for taking the level of production high in the country. Amitabh Kant is also famous as AK-47 due to his potential and skill efficiency in his work among his friends.
How was a CM impressed by Amitabh ?
Amitabh is one of the senior IAS officers in Modi brigade who is known for designing various projects under BJP government. His main area of interest is innovation and his one out of the league person. PM Modi was impressed by the Amitabh when he was serving the Gujarat as Chief Minister that time kant was serving tourism sector in Kerala. After achieving victory in Lok Sabha and holding the post as Prime Minister, Modi decided to subsume Amitabh in his team of close officers. In March 2016, Modi appointed him as the secretary of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). He has been given responsibility to encourage global investors.
Amitabh Kant is the person who introduced the Slogan of Vibrant Gujarat. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihar Bajpayee all remained in touch with him during his government. ‘Incredible India’ slogan is also born out from his mind.

While working in Kerala’s tourism department, Amitabh Kant completely changed its face and come up with the extraordinary slogan of ‘God’s own Country’. Taking about his qualifications, he is graduated in Economics (Hons) from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and earned an M.A from Jawaharlal Nehru University.He is a Chevening Scholar. Kant attended the Mid-career Program of Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government and Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad. Today’s he is one of the trusted officers of PM Modi and the brain behind his latest projects including Make in India and Digital India.
