The Ministry of Defence on Tuesday said the Indian troops are hitting the hard. While providing the details of the present situation at the border, Defence Ministry PRO Manish Mehta said Pakistan is using heavy mortars and India is also responding in equal measure.

Yesterday there was motiveless ceasefire violation in Balakote sector where one of our brave soldiers was killed. Today since 5.30 in the morning, they carried on unprovoked ceasefire violation in Nowshera sector and presently it is erratically carried out by them,” Mehta said.
“Yesterday they had aimed civilian areas. Today, presently I don’t have those details to what areas they have attacked. But, according to the information I got till now, they have attacked our forward areas and we have also responded appropriately.
They are using 120mm heavy mortars and we are also responding in equal measure. we are hitting them hard,” he added.
Two civilian injured and one killed in firing
In this attack by Pakistan troops after violating ceasefire, a19 years old girl has been killed and two civilians have been injured in Nowshera, Arnia and Ramgarh sectors of Jammu and Kashmir this morning since 6am.The injured have been rushed to the nearby hospital for immediate medical aid.
