The Kabaddi world cup is a few step away to its opening. For making its inaugural ceremony blasting and unforgettable, the event would start on at 7 PM in Nehru Stadium, Ropar with humorous jokes of comedian Bharti Singh and renowned Punjabi Singer Gippy Grewal’s songs.
Twenty-two teams are participating from different countries in Kabaddi world cup
AS many as 12 team in the men’s category and 10 teams in women’s category are participating in the event which will conclude on November 17. The teams participating from the countries are United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Sweden, Mexico, Tanzania, Kenya and Sierra Leone.
State Government announced to spend abundantly
State Government has already announced to spend Rs 2-crore on the launching of the Kabaddi World Cup, including a 90-mintue cultural program in Ropar district. The Local and now worldwide prominent talented artist Arjan Bajwa and noted comedian Bharti will perform. A group of foreign artists would also enhance the grace of the event with its stage performance.
It is worth mentioning here that the Pakistan was one of the strongest teams in the previous tournaments, have been kicked out from this tournament this time due to the clash between two nations.
On the other hand, Punjab Sports Director Rahul Gupta has said confidently that the tournament would be more interesting this time. He further said, there will be a cultural program spanning an hour and a half in the two-hour Program from 7PM to 9PM.
