Martin Lawrence is making statements on Jamie Foxx, who has been in a hospital in Georgia since April 11 as a result of what his daughter has described as a “medical complication.”
Although details about his health have not been made public, Lawrence stated to Extra on Thursday during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony that “I hear he’s getting better… Every night, I pray for him and send him my best wishes. He is one of the best actors Hollywood has to offer.
Lawrence, continued, “Not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person.”
Foxx was in Georgia to shoot Back in Action for Netflix.
On the set of the movie starring Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close, filming quickly resumed.
Due to his hospitalisation, one stunt double stepped in for Foxx, and another functioned as a photo double for the Academy Award winner. On April 10, the actor was last spotted filming.
Corinne Foxx, the actor’s daughter, first informed fans of her father’s health situation on April 12 when she stated that he had suffered “a medical complication” the day before. She didn’t go into depth about Foxx’s condition or what triggered his health emergency.
The Foxx family released a statement through Corinne, 29, stating, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.”
Fortunately, he is already making progress towards recovery thanks to prompt action and excellent care. We are aware of how cherished he is and value your prayers, the message said. The family requests caution at this time.
