There were speculations that Chinese Mobile maker Meizu could launch two mid-range and premium range smartphones. And Meizu has finally taken the wraps of two handsets which are named as Meizu M3X and Meizu Pro 6 Plus. Meizu has launched both the devices in china at a price between CNY 1699 (approx Rs 17,000) and CNY 2999 (approx Rs 30,000) respectively.
The M3X will go on sale from 8 December onwards and the Pro 6 Plus will start selling from 23 December onwards.
There are two variants of both the devices and following are the detailed price breakup of the smartphones as per their storage variants.
- Meizu M3X with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage: CNY 1699 (approx Rs 17,000)
- Meizu M3X with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage: CNY 1999 (approx Rs 20,000)
- Meizu Pro 6 Plus with 2.0GHz Exynos 8890 SoC with 64GB storage: CNY 2999 (approx Rs 30,000)
- Meizu Pro 6 Plus with 2.3GHz Exynos 8890 SoC with 128GB storage: CNY 3299 (approx Rs 33,000)
Meizu M3X and Meizu Pro 6 Plus Specifications
Meizu Pro 6 Plus
Talking about the specifications of the smartphones, let’s start with the flagship device Meizu Pro 6 Plus that comes in the metal unibody design. This is a Dual-Sim smartphone. It will come in Champagne Gold, Sky Grey and Moonlight Silver colour options. There is a fingerprint sensor in the home button, there’s an IR sensor and a heart rate sensor as well.
Display: This Smartphone sports a 5.7-inch QuadHD OLED display. The Meizu Pro 6 Plus comes with a 3D Press (pressure sensitive display) and has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
Processor and Software: It houses a Samsung Exynos 8890 SoC which is clocked differently in the two storage variants mentioned above. Mali T880 MP10 GPU handles the onboard graphics. It comes with 4GB RAM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Flyme OS 6 skin atop it.
Camera: The Meizu Pro 6 Plus comes with a 12MP rear camera with a dual tone 10 LED ring flash unit and 4-axis OIS.
Battery: It houses a 3400mAh non-removable battery unit with support for mCharge 3.0 fast charging.
Connectivity options in Meizu Pro 6 Plus include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 AC, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, USB 3.1 Type-C, and NFC support. The dimensions are at 155.6-CHECK-77.3×7.3mm, and the Pro 6 Plus weighs 158 grammes.
Meizu M3X
The fingerprint scanner in Meizu M3X is located in the home screen button of the M3X. It will come in Pearl White, Phantom Blue, Gold and Obsidian Black colour options.
Display: The Meizu M3X comes with 5.5-inch FullHD LCD display.
Processor: It runs on MediaTek Helio P20 chipset which has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz along with Mali T880 GPU. The M3X runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with Flyme OS 6 skin on top.
Camera: The Meizu M3X comes with a 12MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash unit, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and supports 4K video recording. There is a 5MP front-facing camera as well with f/2.0 aperture.
Battery: It has a 3220mAh battery which supports fast charging as well.
Connectivity options in the Meizu M3X include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port. The dimensions are at 153.8x76x7.4mm, and the Meizu M3X weighs 165 grammes.
India launch of Meizu M3X and Meizu Pro 6 Plus: As of now, there are no details or words from the company to when the phones will start selling in India. So Indian smartphone seekers who were looking to own these devices might have to wait for a while for these devices.
