The storyline of OK Jaanu that is indicated by the trailer:
Shraddha will be seen playing the character of Tara, an ambitious girl who hopes to study architecture in Paris while Aditya (Aditya Roy Kapur) too intends to fly off to the US and make it big there. The much-in-love couple decides to live in and make the most of their time together until their ambitions take them on their respective paths.
What starts off as an easy, breezy relationship soon blossoms into deep love. Will they sacrifice their ambitions to share a life together? Or will it be logic over love? The love story delves into the joys, emotions and confusions of today’s youth as they grapple with relationships.
Whereas the Chemistry of the lead actors is worth to be seen but the movie doesn’t seem to come with something new. The storyline is looking pretty typical and another Karan Johar movie. The love, confusion, intense love, fights, ambitions and then A Happy ending. That is what the trailer seems to be heading towards. The movie also features Naseeruddin Shah in a major role and will be seen working to sort out the relationship issues between the couple.
‘OK Jaanu’ is the official remake of the Tamil blockbuster ‘OK Kanmani’ that was helmed by Mani Ratnam and featured Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. The Hindi version has been directed by Ratnam’s protege Shaad Ali and will hit the theatres on January 13, 2017.
