Blas in Delhi: One person allegedly killed in a blast in front of the firecracker godown in the Naya Bazar area in old Delhi, while a number of people were injured. According to The times of India, five people were injured in the blast in Delhi and the person killed is yet to be identified.
Several buildings were damaged in a heavy explosive blast in Delhi
A senior police officer said the cause of the explosion was yet to be ascertained. However, according to the NDTV, the probable cause of the explosion is reportedly a cylinder blast in the wholesale market in Delhi. On the other hand, News 18 reported that the explosion was caused because of an explosive material carrying a man in a bag. A person who carried the material reportedly died in the incident. Window panes of the nearby buildings were also damaged in the heavy explosive blast in Delhi.
Forensic team found some explosive material from the place
A team of forensic members and officers from the special cell reached on the spot to collecting samples. As per the information, the blast took place around 11am in the busy commercial area narrow lanes and tightly packed structures, according to the Times Now. The TV channel has also reported that security forces have also found some explosive materials and fire crackers at the spot.
A team of rescue members was carried out to assist people who affected in Delhi blast. Delhi police personnel have been maintaining a tight vigil in a view of festive season. The area where the blast took place is known for Diwali shoppers looking for fire workers.
