4 June 2016 (Lahore): In another tragic incident, a Pakistani young girl has been gutted down into fire to death. Maria Sadaqat, 19 year old was forced for marriage, refusal to the proposed marriage with a divorcee who is twice her age let her life to misfortune, the police arrested the prime suspects on Friday, said the reports.
According to the reports, Maria was tortured and set to fire as the girl refuse to marry a divorcee, Master Shaukat’s son. Maria was attacked on Monday when she was alone at home with her little sister in the Upper Dewal village of Murree hill resort.
Maria is admitted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences with 85 percent burnt injuries where later she was declared death.
The police have arrested the five suspects in connection with the killing of the teenage girl on Friday. Maria before her death recorded her statement to the police that she was tortured, beaten and ablaze to fire by the perpetrator where she succumbs to 85 percent burnt injuries. She said in her statement that, she was forced to marry a divorcee of master Shaukat son’s, the owner of the local private institution where she was teaching.
According to the source, Maria in her statement to the police, on Monday five persons entered her house and beat her. She was burnt to fire alive as she refused to marry Master Shaukat’s son.
The senior police officer Rawalpindi Wasal Fakhar Sultan told reporters that, all the five prime suspects have been arrested and booked for murder and some other sections of the Pakistan penal code, says the report.
The senior police also said that, “Anti-Terrorism sections will only be included on the direction of the court”.
Last month reports also shows that, the gutted body of young girl was found from a vehicle. Likewise many women are facing various odd situations in life and violence against women is common in the present era.
According to the Human Rights Commission reports, last year a number of nearly 1,100 women were killed where it says “honour killings”.
