The future belongs to those, who believes in the reality of dreams that’s what happened for Palpreet whose dream was to become a Basketball player. Hailing from Muktsar Sahib in Punjab, Palpreet always wanted to follow his path as a sportsperson. Standing tall at 6 feet and 9 inches is nothing less than a bulldozer. Moreover, he is the second Indian after Satnam Singh to enter the famous league of Basketball. Palpreet was 12th pick in the fourth round and 76th overall D-league draft pick. The surprising factor is that Palpreet has no experience in the sport but his passion and drive to thrive is amazing.
According to Palpreet, “After hearing my name, I became a bit emotional. I was very happy that my dream of playing in the best league will soon come true. I am thankful to ACG NBA Jump for this opportunity. I am happy with the efforts I have put in and will continue to work hard. Now that I am going to compete with some of the best in the world, my focus is to become a stronger player”.
The lanky youngster faced some setbacks when he suffered from a knee injury which threatened to disrupt his career as he was not getting enough options in India. The lookout for talent which was initiated by NBA (National Basketball Academy was a perfect platform for him to achieve the goals.
Subsequently, showing his efforts and skills, he was selected out of 32 players to train in India before moving to US to work with experienced coaches. Palpreet learned his basic skills at Ludhiana Basketball Academy. The new season for NBA starts from November 11 which comprises of 22 teams.
