The parents of a newborn baby from a village in eastern Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur district has become a center of attraction in their nearby areas after Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up and name their daughter, “Vaibhavi.
The father of a newborn baby named Bharat Singh is a son of a farmer from Nayapura Hansipur village of Seekhar Block told that he and his wife had discussed about writing to the PM for about two months before their daughter was born on August13.

“We had always wanted a daughter. I don’ have a sister and girls who care more about their parents than boys. After having a daughter, my wife wrote to the PM asking him a name our daughter.
She also mentioned in her letter that his campaign for the girl child has been an inspiration and the two Indian girls had won a medal in the Olympics, which is a moment of celebration for the country,” said Bharat.
He further said that he sent a letter by sped post to the Prime Minister’s office on August 13. And on August 20, a Saturday, I received a call around 10pm of a person saying Prime Minister wanted to talk to me. Then PM Modi came on the line and spoke to me for about two-and-a-half-minutes.
“He cheered me and said I would like to name your baby girl Vaibhavi because it will include the name of letters both of you and your wife’s name” he added.

The next day and delighted Bharat told villagers that he got a call from PM. But most of the persons didn’t believe his talk. Then the again on August 22 Bharat called on the same number from which he received a call from PMO.
He urged the official on the phone to send him a letter containing the PM’s response. On August 30 he received a brief letter from the PMO through speed post.
The letter was addressed to Bharat and Vibha dated August 24 signed by the PM, congratulated the couple for “arrival of a daughter in your home”. “You will full Vaibhavi’s dreams and Vaibhavi will become your power, my good wished” he added.

Bharat said the proof of PM’s letter he showed to the villagers even I had kept a letter with me more than a month. Suddenly, an idea struck into my mind that I should tell more people about it as it is a thing of pride for me.
Then, I told the media persons about it. He had studied up to Class XII, works in Agra. Vibha is a postgraduate in Commerce and has a bachelor’s degree in education, Bharat told.
