Gold Akshay Kumar: Akshay Kumar recently tweeted about his next patriotic movie, “Gold”. Well, it seems like he has made it a habit, bringing something new for his fans every time he ventures. The movie plot has also been revealed.
Gold Akshay Kumar’s next patriotic venture
Gold would be a movie about the first gold win of India after independence in Olympics, 1948. The first movie poster has been revealed in which Akshay has capptioned the tweeted picture – “Set in 1948, the historic story of India’s first Olympic medal as a free nation, #GOLD coming to you on 15th August, 2018!”
The movie has been directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
The Khiladi star also unveiled the movie release date which is scheduled for 2018 Independence Day. The first gold medal was bagged by the Indian hockey team led by Kishan Lal at the London Olympics in 1948.
While the actor is impressing his fans with back to back patriotic films like baby, airlift, rustom and yet another on its way, it is worth mentioning here that he has also stepped up to be a gaurdian angel for the forgotten producer Ravi Shrivastava.
Ravi Shrivastava has been unwell since quite some time and requires a kidney transplant owing to kidney failure. Now, Akshay Kumar has stepped up to pay back the producer who helped him in his struggle period by giving him his debut movie. Akki has offered to pay the hospital bills for his treatment.
