PM Modi Ludhiana Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will honour India’s emerging industrialist with MSME (micro,small and medium enterprise) awards at Ludhiana’s Punjab Agriculture University (PAU) on Tuesday afternoon. This is the first time when this annual award function is being held in Punjab.
In this ceremony, total 227 MSME industrialists from throughout the country will be honoured. Of these, 109 industrialists were chosen in the financial year 2013-14 during the UPA government and the rest have been chosen by the NDA regime in 2014-15. A total eight awardees are referred to Punjab.
In this occasion, Prime Minister will launch two MSME schemes from Ludhiana termed “ SC/ST hub scheme’ and ‘zero defect zero effect scheme’ for the country, said MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra, who is in Ludhiana nowadays to take stock of the arrangements for PM’s Visit.
To promote the SC/ST MSME industrialists under SC/ST hub scheme, the budget has been already announced in Union Budget of Rs 490 crores have been also allocated informed Mishra.
MSME Schemes will encourage the industrialists: Gririraj
The Z-effects is specially launched to provide more benefits to the industrialist that will seek Z- certification from MSME. When asked a question to Giriraj why Ludhiana was chosen to launch the event, said Polls have nothing to do with the program. Ludhiana is an industrial hub; therefore we decided to launch the schemes from the city to encourage Punjab industrialists who are serving a lot of countries economy.
Congress decided to burn CM Badal effigy
On the other hand, Congress has made planned to protest on Chandigarh roads under the leadership of PPCC president Capt Amarinder Singh. Congress would burn the effigy of ‘Chitta’Raavan while sticking the image of CM Prakash Singh Badal on it.
Giriraj said on this the Congress protest will have no effect on their event. He further said Earlier Congress was burning the entire country and now they are burning effigies, so I don’t think it will effect even the common man.
Over 3,000 police personnel are on duty at Ludhiana’ s PAU ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s maiden visit to the university campus. Although all the gates of PAU will be sealed, but one gate of the campus has sealed by Punjab Police with the campus out of bounds for outsiders till Tuesday. Even the roadside fruit vendors and rehris have been also moved away from Ferozpur road.
