As the Thanksgiving day is around the corner, Niantic has gifted its Pokemon Go users with a gift in the Thanksgiving Celebration. Guess What is it? Well, the Company gives users with double XP and star dust from 23rd November.
Yes, you read that right, and that Is not just it as this will stay active for a week and then comes back to normal. Although it is not new from Niantic, as earlier we have seen a similar thing in the Halloween Weekend where 1.3 billion ghost Pokemon were caught.
So Pokemon Go creators are expecting the same with Thanksgiving celebrations to thank users.
Pokemon Go Thanksgiving Celebration – Users Get Double XP, CP, Stardust:
Pokemon Go creators have a great message for all the trainers for this upcoming thanksgiving weekend. And they also shared it with the Pokemon Go Trainers, Niantic issued a statement and said that “We have lots of Pokemon waiting to be caught with double XP, CP along with the star dust. Just make sure you roam around to catch more and more Pokemon’s.”
Niantic also posted on their official blog the timings and what happens.
The Pokemon Go creators said in a blog post about Pokemon Go Thanksgiving celebration, “It has been an incredible experience since we launched Pokémon GO a few short months ago in July. We are passionate about creating experiences that encourage exploration and promote exercise. We are humbled that hundreds of millions of you around the world have joined us on this journey. So we would like to say thank you – and what better way to say thank you than to celebrate our community.”
They further added, “So, starting November 23rd at 00:00 UTC and going through November 30th 00:00 UTC, we will double the amount of XP and Stardust you receive when completing in-game actions.” They also did a little tweak with CP’s of various Pokemon. They added, “We have made adjustments to the CP (Combat Power) of various Pokémon. Some Pokémon, such as Alakazam, Rhydon, and Gengar will have their CP increased. Others will have their CP lowered. These changes will allow a more balanced and competitive battling and training experience in Gyms. We will continue to adjust the CP going forward to improve the game balance when necessary.”
